Best Buddies is an international organization that works to promote advocacy and inclusion by promoting one-to-one friendships between individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and those without. Founded by Anthony Shriver in 1989, Best Buddies is a vibrant international non-profit organization and has grown from one chapter at Georgetown University to every corner of the world, positively impacting over 900,000 individuals.

"Best Buddies has been the highlight of my college career. Being in such a positive group of students has made my time at UT worth it. I love going to events and seeing the pure joy on the faces of those involved in all of our activities and just the power of friendship."
Longhorn Best Buddies works throughout the semester to promote advocacy and inclusion by holding events twice monthly on or around campus. Our events engage both college members as well as members with intellectual disabilities in various activities where we work to continue to grow the established one-on-one friendships.
